Important Notice: Chronicle Oddities operates as a marketplace connecting you with third-party vendors and affiliate partners. Our refund and return policies vary depending on the type of purchase and the specific vendor involved.

1 Overview

This Refund & Return Policy explains the terms and conditions for returns, refunds, and exchanges for purchases made through Chronicle Oddities. Please read this policy carefully before making any purchases.

2 Physical Products from Our Shop

2.1 Return Window

We accept returns for most items within 30 days of delivery. To be eligible for a return, your item must be:

  • In the original packaging
  • Unused and in the same condition you received it
  • In the original tags (if applicable)
  • Accompanied by the original receipt or proof of purchase

2.2 Non-Returnable Items

Certain types of items cannot be returned, including:

  • Customized or personalized products
  • Intimate or sanitary goods
  • Perishable products (food, flowers, etc.)
  • Digital products
  • Products marked as “final sale”

2.4 Refund Methods

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Please allow 7-10 business days for the refund to appear on your account. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

3 Digital Products & Services

Due to the nature of digital products, we do not offer refunds for:

  • Downloadable travel guides and content
  • Digital subscriptions
  • E-books and digital resources

Exceptions may be made for technical issues that prevent access to the digital content.

4 Travel Bookings & Services

4.1 Affiliate Travel Partners

When you book travel services (flights, hotels, trains, car rentals, iVisa) through our affiliate links, you are purchasing directly from our travel partners.

Important: All cancellations, changes, and refunds for travel bookings must be handled directly with the travel provider (airline, hotel, booking platform, etc.). Chronicle Oddities acts as a referral service and cannot process refunds for third-party travel services.

4.2 Travel Provider Policies

Each travel provider has its own cancellation and refund policies. We strongly recommend:

  • Reviewing the provider’s refund policy before booking
  • Purchasing travel insurance for expensive bookings
  • Keeping copies of all confirmation emails and receipts

5 Damaged or Defective Items

5.1 Shop Products

If you receive a damaged or defective item from our shop:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  • Provide photos of the damaged item and packaging
  • We will arrange for a replacement or full refund

5.2 Print-on-Demand Items

For items fulfilled by Printify or Printful:

  • Contact us immediately with photos of the issue
  • We will work with our print providers to resolve the issue
  • Replacements or refunds are typically processed within 3-5 business days

6 Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for a different size or color, you must return the original item and place a new order.

7 Shipping Costs for Returns

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (wrong item shipped, defective product, etc.). We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance for valuable returns.

8 Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund after 10 business days:

  • Check your bank account again
  • Contact your credit card company (processing times vary)
  • Contact your bank (pre-authorization may take time to release)
  • If you’ve done all of the above and still haven’t received your refund, contact us

9 Sale Items

Only regular-priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded unless they are defective or damaged.

10 Gift Returns

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be emailed to you.
